When you send receipts, invoices, or bank account statements to Hubdoc, it automatically extracts the key information. That information can be used in accounting software packages, saving you time on data entry. A copy of the original document is also saved and the data is saved and categorised and is able to be searched. The data that Hubdoc finds is information such as the contact, the date, and the amount.
Can I email invoices to Hubdoc?
Integration of some AI with their software that recognizes frequent moves or sequences within an enterprise’s hubdoc account would take these guys to the next level. I would recommend this only for companies where a massive chunk of expense are recurring or from the same set of vendors. If you’re all over the place then this doesn’t save a ton of time in my experience. Hubdoc is best for small to medium businesses, and its software is one of the cheapest.
HubDoc Key Features and Modules – What’s included?
However, I picked it up again and thought I would play around with it. I was very satisfied with the performance overall hubdoc reviews and plan to implement it through our entire firm. Further, we plan to offer it as part of a package we offer to clients to help them go paperless. Clients like to scan multiple pages at one time and vendors invoices/bills.
Can it be used on mobile?
Overall, HubDoc provides a comprehensive solution for streamlining financial operations for SMBs and enterprises. Verification can help ensure real people are writing the reviews you read on Trustpilot. We use dedicated people and clever technology to safeguard our platform. We became familiar with Hubdoc because it offers a lifetime free trial account for QuickBooks Online ProAdvisors. Some time back we registered for an account (why not, it’s free, right?) and I did the certification course they offer. I held off for a while because I did not have a real need for it at the time.
Training costs for Hubdoc typically range from $100 to $500 per user, depending on the size of the business and the extent of training needed. I would recommend Hubdoc in almost any situation, except where Ledger Docs, Neat, or one of the other options out there made more sense with their workflow or with regard to pricing. Used to process receipts and invoices for expenses and purchases. Hubdoc has recently brought in the ’‘Awaiting Approval’5 status for invoices.
- If not, then you should take advantage of Hubdoc’s 30-day free trial.
- I love that I can snap a photo of a receipt and upload from my phone when I purchase something so it’s off my plate right away.
- Use a specific email address or the mobile app to upload documents.
- Hubdoc can easily create new transactions in Xero using the data that it extracted from the documents you scan.
Do you work for Xero?
All your bills and receipts are securely stored in the cloud; searchable and easy to access from anywhere in the world. HubDoc can integrate seamlessly with popular accounting, ERP, CRM, HCM apps and more via APIs. It compares favorably to competitors by offering unlimited transactions and OCR extractions, postal mail document support and advanced workflows. Not all OCR software are created equal, and the consensus seems to be that Dext is superior to Hubdoc when it comes to reliably extracting the correct information into the correct data field. While Hubdoc will certainly be fine for the majority of standard invoices, it’s software will be less able to correctly interpret hand written invoices and receipts compared to Dext. Dext will also outperform when there are more complicated multiline invoices.
Has potential but as other have said VAT issues…
- Hubdoc reduces data entry by accurately capturing information from bills and receipts and publishing it to Xero; making it easy to match transactions to the Xero bank feed.
- It helps streamline document management workflows and accounting processes by extracting key data from documents and automatically importing it into popular business platforms.
- We also integrated their scanner functionality into a custom mobile app that fed straight into the Hubdoc system with document notes via metadata tags.
- This allows us to have the invoice/receipt attached to the transaction in QBO which helps during Tax/Audit time in locating backup.
- It costs $15 AUD a month in Australia, but you can also get a free trial of 30 days without entering any credit card data.

Hubdoc – huge time-saver!
Larger enterprises with 100 users can expect to pay approximately $1,200 per month. For global enterprises requiring 1,000 users, the monthly cost can reach up to $10,000. Hubdoc also provides customized pricing for businesses with unique needs or global operations. It’s useless. Not overly enamoured with Xero – but this piece of crap makes it all the simpler QuickBooks to try and get rid. As it is owned by the same company – I can see why. Please don’t waste your time or efforts on what is a floored accounting “package”.
